The Robinson Residence
Boulder,
Colorado

Contractor: Kennedy Construction, Inc.

A classic split-level home with the master suite at the main level and an entry that felt as if one were walking into a mudroom, this home was ready for an update!  A lofty master suite  with incredible Flatiron views was added as an additional level and the entry was enhanced with a decorative railing and a vaulted area open to the new level above.  The living/dining areas of the existing level were vaulted to tie in with the more modern yet timeless addition.

The Whitehead-Bust Residence

Contractor: Compass Construction

The most urgent request for this project was to allow more entertaining room in the kitchen for a family that often has large get togethers.  We added an addition that opened up the kitchen and added some seating area as well as a built-in for storage and a work station.  The owner was considering popping the top further down the road, but with a bit of rearrangement we were able to come up with a master suite on the main level and three bedrooms for the children all in the same lower level at a budget that worked into Phase I.

Keeping in the original cottage style, an additional 1100 s.f. was added to the original 900 s.f. home.  Most of this was a second story addition.

The Messinger Residence
Stamford, Connecticut

Once part of an apple orchard, this rural country setting now sits hidden in the midst of a Manhattan suburb.  The entire house was gutted and refinished and a 1076 addition was added that includes the new Kitchen and Dining Room below on the main level and a Master Suite above.  The house resembles a classic Nantucket style home to remind the owners of their favorite retreat.

The Carr Residence
The Whittier Neighborhood
Boulder, Colorado

Located on a non-conforming lot in a neighborhood that was in the process of being landmarked, this project had many restrictions.  735 s.f. were added to the existing 842 s.f. which comes to 1577 s.f., the maximum allowed built s.f. on this particular lot.  The simple craftsman detailed design blends well into its historic Whittier Neighborhood with scenic flatirons views from the new Master Deck.
