The Gonzalez Residence
1961 Poplar Avenue,
Boulder, Colorado

Contractor: Olde Towne Construction

We created a simple, modern farmhouse sitting on a rural lot in North Boulder with a variety of mature trees including a group of orchard trees.  An existing foundation was resued, leaving all of the existing landscaping intact.  The main floor has an open plan from the living room at the front to the kitchen at the rear and on the West side is a spacious screened in porch for use most of the year and for additional shade to the living spaces from the hot summer sun.  Upstairs there are two modest sized bedrooms that share a bath as well as a very spacious master bedroom with vaulted ceilings and gorgeous views of the Flatirons.

The Huffaker Residence
Boulder County, Colorado

Contractor: Paradigm Construction

With four home-schooled children and two parents both working from the house, the owners of this project were looking for a very specialized space to accomodate their lifestyle which clearly revolves around the home.  The Front Rage views are captured from all of the major living spaces with the curved wall at the West and the upper level windows.  At the owner's request, the style is modern, yet timeless with mountain accents seen in the timber finishes throughout.

The Stromquist Residence
Longmont, Colorado

Contractor: Kennedy Building, Inc.

Set amongst the sugarbeet fields in east Longmont with vista views of the Front Range, this property has been in the owner's family for over a century.  The first floor was designed with an open plan and a wrap around porch that takes advantage of views and allows for frequent family gatherings.  Upstairs gives guests their own retreat.  The mature trees that surround the lot and the original silos show remnants of the past, while the new house brings a timeless, yet updated home to the setting.
