A Letter From the Sugarmill:
Having worked on
a wide range of projects from the Ocean Journey Aquarium in Denver, Colorado to the Denver Public Library done in collaboration
with renowned architect, Michael Graves, Catherine Scott now focuses on residential design. Her big influences
stem from Architect Sarah Susanka with her “build better, not bigger” approach to home design, as well as the
increased awareness in sustainability and renewable materials. Many architects dream of designing the project
with an unlimited amount of square footage, but Catherine thrives on the challenge of a smaller, more livable home that requires
built-ins for necessary storage and attention to fine detail to give character to a home.
Located just outside of Boulder Colorado, Sugarbeet Architects is surrounded by a wealth
of knowledge and resources in the “green” industry. From environmentally sound materials to
healthy mechanical systems, all of the information is right at Catherine’s fingertips, ready to be implemented in your
